Complex Program Integration

Today’s massive engineering and construction projects inevitably involve myriad systems, facilities, technologies, and stakeholders. Program integration involves bringing comprehensive systems integration and support processes and skills into complex construction programs to get the job done.

For large-scale, high-impact projects, program integration requires the ability to blend multiple unique silo organizations and systems …to move across boundaries…to break down barriers.

Horne International has built its reputation on successfully scoping and executing complex program integration challenges. Our architectural and engineering experts can see what needs to be done, so complex projects can execute efficiently.

Real-World Scope and Schedule

No matter how complex the integration challenge, Horne applies a proven record of service and extensive domain expertise to the task.

We start by defining a real-world scope of work. Then we produce measurable efficiency gains through our skills in diverse areas such as:

  • Policy development
  • Interagency coordination
  • Management studies
  • budget formulation
  • Performance metric development
  • Contract administration
  • Construction quality assurance
  • Technology testing and evaluation
  • Commercialization
  • Technical process analysis.

Along the way, we approach every program integration project with the integrity, adaptability, and responsiveness to support the successful execution of large-scale initiatives.

Customer Spotlight

Andrews Air Force Base

The mission: In the face of asymmetric threats, the U.S. Air Force needed to design and install a comprehensive integrated security system for force protection on bases worldwide. The Integrated Base Defense Support Services project delivers integrated design and installation of intrusion and threat detection, identification systems, and delay/denial systems.

Uniquely engineered: As the engineer of record at Andrews Air Force Base – home of the U.S. President’s Air Force One aircraft — for the first rollout of Integrated Base Defense Support Services, Horne International managed overall site infrastructure design and construction, including entry control systems, radar and camera systems, electrical infrastructure, communication lines, anti-ram devices, and permitting.
