Systems Integration

Three key maxims drive the systems and technologies that are now being deployed: Change is constant; no technology works in isolation; and complexity can kill a project before it even begins. That’s why systems integration plays an increasingly critical role in the success of every technical program being designed and launched today.

Horne International knows what it takes to bring together a set of applications and technologies into a seamless system that meets vital mission objectives. When it comes to systems integration, we are relentless problem solvers—with the right attitude and experience to keep projects on track, budgets under control, and systems producing the best results.

We can put our deep program engineering, environmental, facilities management, and technical skills to work on virtually any integration challenge to help our customers get the most from state-of-the art and legacy technologies. Our skill sets cross functional and technical boundaries to integrate agencies, people, processes, applications, hardware, databases, and networking—and achieve maximum operational impact.

Andrews Air Force Base

The mission: In the face of asymmetric threats, the U.S. Air Force needed to design and install a comprehensive integrated security system for force protection on bases worldwide. The Integrated Base Defense Support Services project delivers integrated design and installation of intrusion and threat detection, identification systems, and delay/denial systems.

Uniquely engineered: As the engineer of record at Andrews Air Force Base for the first rollout of Integrated Base Defense Support Services, Horne International managed overall site infrastructure design and construction, including entry control systems, radar and camera systems, electrical infrastructure, communication lines, anti-ram devices, and permitting.
