Horne Engineering Services Awarded New Contract To Support FAA Occupational Safety
and Health Program
Fairfax, VA June 11, 2007 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded Horne Engineering Services, LLC, a contract to provide analytic, management, and technical services in support of the FAA’s occupational safety and health (OSH) program. Horne Engineering is a wholly owned subsidiary of Horne International, Inc. (OTCBB:HNIN).
Under this one-year, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract, Horne Engineering will help the FAA’s Environment, Energy and Employee Safety Division (AEE-200) establish a baseline of safety conditions, pinpoint priority issues and develop measures for addressing them, track and evaluate progress, and complete safety awareness projects. The company has already received two delivery orders for work during the first three months of the contract and anticipates that additional delivery orders will follow.
Horne Engineering has provided OSH support to the FAA since 1998 and has directly supported AEE-200 since early 2005 in all phases of the OSH program. During this period, the OSH program has made significant strides in ensuring that the more than 45,000 people who work at the FAA have a safe and healthful work environment.
Horne International President and CEO Darryl K. Horne called the new contract award “a tribute to the proven performance of Horne’s dedicated health and safety professionals. We welcome this opportunity to continue supporting this valued customer and to make further progress in enhancing the FAA safety culture, reducing workplace injuries, and lowering the agency’s safety-related costs.”
